Final decision

Finally we have decided to hold our important day " Our Wedding " at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore. We sat down with Elizabeth Ho to go thru the final details before I penned down my signature and the deposit. We were quite satisfied with the arrangement , Elizabeth Ho had planned for us. Thank Elizabeth Ho for the help.

Another important person to thank is Duxbery. He has been a great help to us. I would have been at a loss without his help. Owe him one big time.

The coming 15 Jul, Kim dardar will be going to try out the wedding gown. Will upload pictures of her in wedding gown.

Remember the date 30 Nov 2008 , Our wedding day .

Finally, we decided to choose 30 Nov 2008 as our wedding day.

My task for the week :
1) Call You Long Zi master for the appointment to get the rest of the details

2) Email Elizabeth Ho for appointment to meet up with her to discuss the final decision of the venue

Suppose to be my job but nevertheless my ger kim helped me to the tasks. Good work and I luv you dardar.

So this coming Sat, we will be meeting Elizabeth at 4pm to discuss our final decision. Did make a call to Dukbury and informed that we will be going down Grand Copthorne waterfront Hotel to make our final decision. Glad that he is around to help us and advise us. Thank a lot to you, Dukbury. Hope that he will be around when we making the decision.

Our Wedding Bands

Went down to causeway point Lee Hwa jewellery shop and Poh Heng jewellery shop with Kim and her mum to look at jewellery her mum wanted to buy for her. Kim went thru a collection of jewellery that she fancy. Will upload the pictures of the jewellery

After her selection of the jewellery, we decided to go thru the wedding band section to look for our own wedding bands. Never know that choosing a guy wedding band is so difficult. I was actually going thru so many of the wedding band and keep asking the lady to show me almost their whole selection. Finally after much thinking and hestiating, I finally decided to get the wedding band that i fancy. so did kim.

Time ticking slower toward our blissful occasion. Many things to carry out and done. We will work hard toward that day.

The Bridal Shop ( 15 June 2008 )

Went to the Thomson Weddings bridal shop at Tanjong Pagar Road. In fact we lost our way there. Misled Kimberly and she lost the way. Took a big round and even reached the top of Mt Faber. Finally reached Tanjong Pagar and parked at the Amara Hotel. We were late for the appointment so we went to the bridal shop first then after jocelyn will meet us there. When we reached the bridal shop, there were 2 couples trying out the gowns. Catherine was still busy with her work and we were told to wait for awhile. While waiting,we browse thru some of the ablum and gown. Then there was this guy who keep asking Catherine to hasten her work and be quick to serve us. He keep reminding her whether she remember anything about our appointment with her. The guy seem to be quite hostile as this is the second time we came to the bridal shop.

Once Catherine done with her things, she roughly introduced her to me as this is my first time here. She cannot rememeber wthether the previous time Kimberly came with who. She sound blur to me lor. She go thru the details of the wedding packages to us. She offered us the price she quoted to Kimberly the previous time as there is some changes to the prices of the new package that they are launching. But she told us that she will keep her promise and offered her the $3799 packages instead of the $4299 package. Like that save $500 leh.. She explained to us the full details of the wedding packages. We made some changes to the packages and customised to our needs.

Overall, Kimberly was very satistied with the packages. Finally, I can see some smile on her face. Before that , her face was so black like charcoal lor. After some discussion, we agreed to the package and paid the deposit.

Kimberly went to try some gowns and poor me got to comment on the bridal gown whether is it nice or not. She should know my answer to her. " Ok lor " , " Can Lah " or maybe wave my hand saying can lah. But in fact she look pretty in the gowns she try.

Anyway, Catherine told us that we will contact us again to arrange for the next appointment. She also told us that there will be new bridal gowns coming soon.

Let hope Kimberly will find something that she like....

Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore (14 June 2008)

Wedding Celebration at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore.

Today we went to the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Singapore at Havelock Road, took a cab there and the first thing we commneted when we alighted from the cab. " Wa , so many ah pui ne ne " Her first impression was " blacken" by the tourist there. We waited at the lounge for the business Development Manager, Elizabeth Ho to explain to us the full details for the wedding lunch. Waited for 15 mins before we came. Before that , she was entertaining another couple discussing about their wedding too. Kimberly kept laughing at the lady singing with the live band. Dunno why she kept laughing non stop since the lady started singing. After Elizabeth finished with the couple, she approached us and introduced herself to us. She give us an overview of the hotel and the wedding packages available. She also asked Kimberly ' How she was related Dukberri ' , Kimberly replied as 'My god brother' so funny lor. In fact i dun mind having Dukberri as her God brother, he such a nice fellow. After the introduction, Elizabeth brought us to the ballroom on the second floor. She told us that today the ballroom is being used but we managed to take a look of the ballroom. Veri big and spacious even with 50 tables. Furthermore by the side of the ballroom, there is a nice garden view ( see the pic below ).

The garden view can be covered with the drawn curtain. Elizabeth told us that the garden view will be 1 of the attraction during the wedding lunch.

Elizabeth even showed us the meeting room (can catered to ard 30-40 pax) which can be used for the Solemnisation and tea session. Overall, the ballroom look grand and spacious. Kimberly and me was quite satisted with the place.

The road to my stress moment...
So sian...Now very stress man...Thought found a venue that we like le can proceed to next thing liao.. sigh... My poor Mr Yeo got argument with his mum le... Alothough i know they have a big family however the tables they need is far to much for me to take it... sigh.. I duno what can i do or should do le.. how i wish i can get a wedding planner so to help me with all these troubles... Sigh... Problem 1 start... if i cant get the exact number of people coming or the venue at least... den no need to get married lo...

So many thing happen over 1 day....

Happy that we manage to find the ideal venue, end up now problem with the number of table my mum required. She wanted ard 35 table which is the max the ballroom can hold. How am i going to cater to my gerger side and my colleagues??? Im so sianz just like my gerger. Why can't we make our own decision.

Just now, Anthony suggested that we can hold our wedding over at orchid country club. Spoken to Anthony's fren emma, she will help me check our the wedding package from orchid country club. Informed my gerger abt this place but she sound unconvinced abt it. She must be under tremedous stress from the planning. Poor dardar. Hope I will get some good news from orchid country club and my gerger will like the package and arrangement.

Lastly, I want to say this to my gerger....

Appreciate all the effort she make, i really hope that things will go smoothly

1st stop : Grand Plaza Park Hotel

Today, we have made the arrangement to meet the F&B manager at the grand plaza park hotel at 4pm. But we called to delay the meeting at 430pm as we were still watching the movie " Chronicles Of Narnia Prince Caspian ". Nice show and my ger have actually watched it the second time.

Finally, we managed to find the carpark lot and waited for the manager at the lobby. The manager came and started to show us around. Initially, the manager asked us whether where we wanted our ROM. My ger must have not updated him that we are planning to held the customery wedding lunch. So he advised us that we need to see the person in charge of the banquet instead. He brought us to the second floor to show us the ballroom while waiting for the person in charge of the banquet.

Basically there is only a ballroom and 2 meeting room in grand plaza park hotel. The ballroom look nice and well decorated. Later we were introduced to the banquet sales manager, Veralyn. She brought us to The Bar and go thru the details. We were told that the ballroom can only accomodated maximum 35 tables. Both of us were quite pleased with the ballroom and the menu of the banquet.

We decided to hold on to date that is available and will get back to Veralyn asap.

Date selections for the wedding day

Slight drizzling today.

Went to this You Long Zi Feng Shui master today. Was told to reach there by 4pm. So excited abt the whole thing. Reach the place at 345pm. Was told to wait for the Master You as he is not here yet. Waited for 15minutes. Finally , we were told to go into the room.

Master You was so on the dot, 4pm sharp and we were inside the room. We sat down and there he was sitting right in front of us. He ask when we wanted to held our wedding. Told him from Oct til Nov. Asked for both our parents horoscope and started to take out this 'tong sui' to find the dates.

Given us 8 auspicious dates for us and told us to look for him again 2 months before our wedding date , to get the rest of the details like 'an chuang' , auspicious timing.

While he was getting the dates, kim was so anxious and ask for those auspicious timing and kena scolded by the Master You. He said that he have not even get the dates and she wanted to have the timing.
